What We Offer
Theatre Production classes are designed to provide advanced preparation for the actor. The courses focus on all aspects of theatre, including maximum use of the body, voice, and mind through improvisation, pantomime, blocking, movement, stage pictures, and stage combat. A study of dialects for the stage, and internalizing the actor’s character will be studied.
This course focuses on the art of improvisational theatre and the skills necessary to create three-dimensional characters, coherent stories and compelling performances through strong listening skills, emotional connection and exploration of the key elements of theatrical storytelling.
Technical Theatre is designed to give the student experiences in all phases of backstage work. Set design, stage lighting, stage management, costume design, sound reproduction are taught as well as how they will be used in practical application. Students will learn how to construct sets and props, all phases of craft design, and how to maintain the theatre.
